J. Patrick Rhamey | CEO
Patrick Rhamey has over 30 years experience in hotel, multifamily, and residential real estate development. From acquisitions and investments to sales and operations, he has led numerous projects to a successful completion. Rhamey is currently CEO of Tahoe Beach Club, a $400 million residential community and private beach club situated on the shores of Lake Tahoe. At Beach Club, he oversees development, sales, and day to day operations. Previously, he managed all aspects of Edgewood Companies’ real estate portfolio including acquisitions and the development of the Lodge at Edgewood Tahoe, which won Travel + Leisure’s 2018 Number 1 Resort Hotel in the US. As a member of Edgewood’s Executive Committee, he managed corporate administration and planning including revamping the company’s strategic plan. Prior to Edgewood, Rhamey directed CLB Partner’s acquisitions, development, and sales activities in Southern California including over $300 million in luxury condominium development. Then at Echelon Residential, he led the companies’ development and property management activities for the Tampa, Dallas, and Atlanta markets commencing development of over 1200 multifamily units in less than four years.
Outside of the office, Rhamey is involved with numerous community and professional organizations. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Recreation Development Council, Lake Tahoe Chamber’s CEO Roundtable, The Tahoe Chamber’s Independent Expenditure PAC (Chairman 2016 to Present), and Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce Board, 2011 to 2014 (President 2013 & 2014).
Rhamey holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business from the University of Texas. He was an Endowed Presidential Scholar and was honored as a Sord Scholar from the University of Texas Business School.
Andrew Strain | VP of development
Andrew Strain has planned and developed complex projects in highly-regulated markets for over 20 years. Presently, Strain is Vice President of Development at Tahoe Beach Club, a 143 unit luxury condominium project with a private members’ club on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Over the course of his career, Strain has worked as the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Land Use Planner, Director of Planning at Heavenly Mountain Resort, and the Vice President of Planning & Governmental Affairs at Vail Resorts. His most notable projects include, the Northstar Mountain Master Plan, and the Heavenly Mountain Master Plan: a comprehensive 4,800 acre resort development and redevelopment plan that included new ski lifts, ski trail expansion, snowmaking system expansion, base lodge area redevelopment at three locations (Heavenly California Base Lodge, Heavenly Stagecoach Lodge, and Heavenly Tamarack Lodge), and additional on-mountain restaurants and summer activities.
On top of his professional engagements, Strain remains heavily involved in his local community. He served on the board of the Tahoe Transportation District, Lake Tahoe Transportation & Water Quality Coalition, Tahoe Douglas Chamber of Commerce, and the Lake Tahoe Federal Advisory Committee, which allocated $300M in federal funding over his eight year involvement for environmental restoration projects included in the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program. He is a current Board of Trustees Member of The Nature Conservancy, Nevada Chapter.
Strain holds a Bachelor of Arts in Regional/Environmental Planning with honors from the University of Utah, along with a Master of Landscape Architecture with honors from the University of Washington. He is a registered landscape architect in the state of Nevada.
Michael McGinnis | VP of sales
With over 20 years in the pre-construction sectors, Michael McGinnis holds his broker license in Nevada, California, and Colorado. His newest project is One Snowmass, a whole ownership and residence club, where he serves as Associate Broker. Prior to Snowmass, McGinnis was an Associate Broker at Tahoe Beach Club where he produced $55 million in sales.
McGinnis also served as Executive Sales Broker for Marriott Timber Lodge where he was the Sales Executive of the Year for his entire tenure. Other honors include: #1 sales executive producer at East West Partners / NorthStar Village / Hyatt Lodge, as well as ARDA Sales Executive of the Year for East West Partners / Old Greenwood / Gray’s Crossing in Truckee, California.
McGinnis holds a Bachelor of Science in Fishery and Wildlife Biology from Virginia Tech.
Wendy L. Jones | VP of Construction & interiors
Wendy Jones holds over 18 years of advancement and expertise in primarily interior construction, as well as broader ground up construction for luxury hi-rise, single family, and condominium developments. Jones’ career highlights include her work with Tahoe Beach Club, a 143 luxury condo community with a 30,000 SF lakefront private club; Grand Harbor and Oak Harbor, a 990 acre upscale golf and marina development with a variety of high-end properties ranging from condos to single family homes ($490,000 to $2.2 million); Bosa Development Inc. in San Diego, which includes projects such as Discovery Horizons, Park Place, The Grande, and Marquis; Park Laurel, a $120 million luxury high-rise condo near downtown San Diego; and Mei, 26 story, 134 unit upscale condo on Miami Beach, where the profits from her upgrade/customization program were in excess of $2 million dollars upon completion. Subsequently, she spent 7 years with International Interiors in Miami Beach, specializing primarily in new ultra-luxury hi-rise building developments on Miami Beach's Millionaire Row, with gross revenue quickly rising to just over $1 million per year.
Jones received her bachelor of Arts degree from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
Joe McDaniel | CFO
Joe McDaniel, CPA, is a highly accomplished accountant with an exceptional 35 year track record for accurately handling financial reporting. Currently, he serves as Controller for Beach Club Development, LLC and Tahoe Beach Club, LLC managing all aspects of accounting, reporting, and cash management for club operations, development, sales, and financing. In addition, McDaniel has worked for Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, where he served as a member of their Executive Management Committee; Resort West, tailoring the company’s accounting system to accommodate its new PMS; and Edgewood Companies, where McDaniel facilitated significant cost saving from bidding property, liability, and health insurance benefit packages at least biannually and tax savings from an aggressive stance on the company’s write-off policy.
McDaniel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration for the University of Nevada, Reno.
KR Squared | Marketing Consultant
KR Squared Productions, Cotreyan’s affiliate marketing agency, handles all aspects of marketing from branding and strategy, to campaign execution. KR Squared has worked hand in hand with developments such as Clear Creek Tahoe and Tahoe Beach Club by creating memorable content and identifying prospects to bolster sales. In addition, they have garnered a long term collaboration with Carter Hill Homes revamping their brand identity from website to all forms of marketing content. Beyond development, the team at KR Squared has worked with companies such as Disney, Bayer Global, Nestle USA, and Lionsgate Studios by creating and executing ad campaigns that promote brand identity and retention. In fact, their work with Lionsgate, to promote the film Wonder, won a 2018 Digiday Award beating out Viacom Media and Edelman.
